HI50021P is a premium quality calibration check solution used exclusively for the HI9813-6 portable pH/EC/TDS/Temp. meter. Each sachet has the lot number and expiration date stamped on it and is made of light block foil ensuring freshness each time one is opened. Hanna’s line of solutions have been specially formulated to have an expiration of 5 years from the date of manufacture for an unopened sachet. The HI50021P is for 25 sachets containing 20 mL of solution that is used to verify the calibration and functionality of the pH electrode.

HI50021P is a premium quality calibration check solution produced in accordance with ISO 3696/BS3978 standards using high purity salts, deionized water, certified weight-checked balances, and Class A glassware in a temperature controlled environment monitored with certified thermometers. It is specially formulated for use with the HI9813-6 portable pH/EC/TDS/Temp. meter. It allows the user to check the meter’s calibration status at any time by simply rinsing the probe with water and immersing it in the solution. The meter will indicate the probe’s condition.

CAL-CHECK™ FEATURE / CLEAN & CAL PROCEDURE
The unique Cal-Check™ feature allows the user to check the meter calibration status at any time. Simply follow the procedure outlined below for a quick assessment of the calibration status.
- Rinse the probe with water.
- Immerse the probe in the HI 50021 check solution.
- Press the Check key.
- If the meter is calibrated “Probe is OK” message is displayed.
- If cleaning is needed “Clean Probe and Calibrate” message is displayed
- Immerse the probe in appropriate cleaning solution (i.e. HI700661) for 5 minutes, then rinse it with tap water.
- Immerse again in the HI 50021 check solution and press the CHECK key. If the message “Probe is OK” is displayed, the meter does not need calibration. If the message “Clean Probe and Calibrate” is displayed then calibration must be performed.
Note: If the reading is around pH 4.0 when the probe is placed in Cal-Check solution then the probe is broken and has to be replaced.
