Wildfire arugula seeds produce a beautiful, sweet flavour followed by a mild peppery kick. This superb arugula grows like wildfire and is ready to pick just 40 days after sowing for baby greens. Its bright green, slightly serrated leaves grow upright instead of spreading out on the ground. Wildfire is slow to bolt, and perfect for market growing or for patio containers. Wildfire arugula seeds are excellent for use as micro-greens. Even when tiny, the distinctive arugula flavour is strong. Try sprinkling some over cooked pizza just before serving.

Sow no more than 5mm (¼”) deep in well drained soil in full sun. Thin seedlings to 10-15cm (4-6″) apart in rows 45-60cm (18-24″) apart. Overcrowded plants will bolt earlier. Seeds germinate in 4-8 days. Sow the tiny seeds barely covered with soil. Keep them warm and damp. Germination is slow, so be patient. |

Wild arugula has a sprawling habit and feathery, deeply indented leaves. Space plants 10-15cm (4-6") apart in rows 30cm (12") apart. Remember that this perennial plant will re-emerge in spring. Keeping the plants cut will encourage new, more tender growth. Trim the young leaves with scissors as needed. |
